The Derbyshire Dales district is one of the safest areas of the country, new statistics show. In these statistics, it shows that the crime rate has fallen by more than 7% in the Derbyshire Dales. Inspector Bryan Hall said he was very pleased with these figures, which are due to a number of factors, including working with the Derbyshire Dales District Council and Peak Park National Park Authority. There have also been more police patrols and increased CCTV at larger car parks, thus reducing the opportunity for crime, as well as joining together three Dales sections, making a smarter and more efficient organisation.
